Donate By Giving to Others
1 Lord, let me live from day to day,
In such a self-forgetful way,
That even when I kneel to pray,
My pray’r shall be for OTHERS.
Refrain:
Yes, others, Lord, yes, others,
Let this my motto be;
Help me to live for others,
Help me to live for others,
That I may live like Thee,
That I may live like Thee.
2 Help me in all the work I do
To ever be sincere and true,
And know that all I’d do for you
Must needs be done for OTHERS. [Refrain]
3 Let “Self” be crucified and slain
And buried deep, nor rise again
And may all efforts be in vain,
Unless they be for OTHERS. [Refrain]
4 So when my work on earth is done,
And my new work in heav’n’s begun,
May I forget the crown I’ve won,
While thinking still of OTHERS. [Refrain]

A Friend by Jack Hyles
A friend is one who understands
The motives underneath my plan.
A friend is one who always sees
The real me, yet never flees.
A friend is one who always knows
The pain I feel, yet never shows
Disgust with me when I am weak,
And comprehends the words I speak.
A friend is one so soon to hear
The threats that often make me fear.
A friend, I guess, ’tis plain to see,
Is really just another me.
HOW TO BE A FRIEND
1. Be concerned in being a friend, not in having a friend.
2. Remember what a friend is. A friend is one who is loved dearly.
3. Start doing sacrificial things for others. (see above)
4. The need of a friend should be considered your need
5. Feel as if you are a member of the family.
6. Build up your friend’s friends.
7. Enjoy the presence of your friends.
8. Spend some time with your friends even in their absence. (Meditate on them and pray for them)
9. Do kind deeds for loved ones of departed friends.
Friendship is a very serious and sacred thing. It should be treated as such!
The number of ways something can be given to others depends entirely on what’s being given and how you define “different ways.” For example, if you’re giving out a single item, there’s only one way to give it to one person, but many ways if you’re giving it to multiple people or in different ways (like handing it, mailing it, etc.).
Here’s a breakdown of factors to consider:
- What is being given? Is it a tangible item, an experience, information, or something else?
- To whom is it being given? Is it a single person, a group, or a wider audience?
- How is it being given? Is it a direct hand-off, a gift, a donation, or something else?
- What constitutes a “different way”? Is it different if the recipient is different, the method of giving is different, or both?
-
Giving a single book:
- If you only have one person to give it to, there’s only one way (giving it to that person).
- If you have multiple people to give it to, there are multiple ways (giving it to person A, person B, etc.).
- If you can give it in different ways (hand-off, mail, etc.), then there are even more ways.
-
Giving a service:
- If you’re offering a service to one person, there’s only one way (providing the service to that person).
- If you’re offering the service to multiple people, there are multiple ways (providing the service to person A, person B, etc.).
-
Giving information:
- If you’re sharing information with one person, there’s only one way (sharing the information with that person).
- If you’re sharing the information with multiple people, there are multiple ways (sharing the information with person A, person B, etc.).
- If you can share the information in different ways (email, phone, in person), then there are even more ways.
- One of the best ways to give to others is to tell them that Jesus Loves them and even share the Gospel with them.
