1. I cannot understand it when I think of all I ‘d done

How could the Father love me, sacrifice His only Son

My sins were there before me as accusers of my soul,

Yet god in mercy saved me, placed my name on Heaven’s roll.

2.  The Law of God condemned me every time I missed the mark,

He took the condemnation, shined a light into the dark.

The devil tried to make me, ever guilty of great sin.

But Jesus JUSTIFIED me, o’er the tempter helped me win.

3.  I stood accused and guilty with no hope to win my case,

Yet Christ became my Savior, as a Lamb He took my place.

I looked at the indictment and I saw that it was true.

But now it’s gone OH GLORY, thanks to God I’ve been renewed!

4.  Can you believe that Jesus came to earth to take my place.  

He paid my debt on Calv’ry and saved my by his Grace.

My Lord arose in voct’ry having conquered death that day.

His blood had paid the sin debt and had opened Heaven’s way!
